as much as i hate the summer i have to admit it does have its benefits. from the ability to have a crazy weird mood/attitude and easily blame it on the heat. and the chance to swim and submerge yourself completely in a pool or the ocean.
a weird thing i like about the summer is that my trains (Q/B) is mostly above ground in brooklyn. i assume, to preserve electricity or to make the trip feel cooler for the riders, the conductor has the lights in ever car turned off. at one point the train gradually goes underground, in and out of small tunnels until it reaches the subway. the conductor seems to sometimes forget that the lights are off so the ride into the city is pitch black. the only lights coming from peoples ipods, and phones, in my case, my camera.
i couldnt help but smile. i felt like we were moving but going no where. everyone else disappeared on the train and only reappeared at each new station. great feeling.
